Pickup RequestScrap cable buying
The value of scrap cable comes from the copper or aluminium inside. Thick power cables have a high metal content, thin data and phone cables a low one. That is why selling all cable at one price usually means losing money.
We collect your cables as they are, unstripped, from your address, sort them by type, weigh them and price each at its own content.
What determines the scrap cable price?
The cross-section, number of cores and conductor type (copper or aluminium) determine the price. Thick NYY and power cables have a high copper content; flexible TTR cables are in the middle; data, phone and thin signal cables are low. Cable reel leftovers are valued the same way.
Burning cable is illegal
Burning cable to strip it is prohibited under environmental law, gives off toxic smoke and oxidises the copper, lowering its grade. Handing cable over as it is, is both legal and more profitable.
Who do we buy from?
We regularly collect leftovers from electrical contractors, construction sites, factory maintenance teams, hotel and residential complex managements and cable dealers.
Which cable scrap do we buy?
NYY, NYM, N2XH and other power cables, TTR and flexible cables, control and signal cables, data and phone cables, welding cables, aluminium power cables, reel leftovers and stripped-out installation cables. We also take sacks of mixed cable and do the sorting ourselves.
