Pickup RequestScrap fridge compressor buying
Hermetic compressors, known as fridge motors, contain copper windings and an iron housing. That is why they are valued as a separate item in scrap, by the piece or by the kilo.
We collect regularly from appliance services, refrigeration technicians and tradespeople who store scrap. We can take compressors removed or still inside the appliance.
What determines the price?
Size and type set the price: fridge and freezer compressors are one grade, cold-room and industrial refrigeration compressors a higher one. Drained motors with cut pipe ends are valued as cleaner.
Complete appliances
We also take fridges and freezers with the compressor still in place and pass them to facilities that separate refrigerant and insulation foam in line with the regulations.
Who do we buy from?
Appliance service centres, refrigeration and air conditioning technicians, supermarkets and cold-chain businesses, hotels and restaurants, and homeowners replacing old appliances. For services we set up regular collection of accumulated motors.
Before you hand them over
Store compressors upright so the oil does not leak and cut the pipe ends. You can also hand over motors still inside the appliance without removing them.
