Scrap copper is one of the highest-value scrap metals per kilo, so correct grading and an accurate scale directly decide what you are paid. At Değer Geri Dönüşüm we collect copper where it is with our own vehicle, sort it by grade and weigh it in front of you.
Whether it is a few metres of pipe from a home renovation or sacks of cable from a construction site, the process is the same: we give a price range from photos and the approximate amount, then come to your address.
What determines the scrap copper price per kilo?
The copper price follows the London Metal Exchange and the exchange rate and can change within the day, so we confirm it on the pickup day. Two piles of copper fetch different prices on the same day because of their grade.
Stripped, bright cable copper is the top grade. It is followed by pipe copper, tinned and enamelled copper, motor and transformer windings. Copper with solder, paint, plastic, iron clamps or insulation loses value in proportion to the foreign matter. Removing fittings and draining pipes raises the price.
Which copper scrap do we buy?
Stripped cable copper, plumbing and air conditioning pipes, boiler and water heater copper, copper radiators, motor and transformer windings, copper sheet and strip, copper turnings and mixed copper scrap. We also take unstripped cable, priced by its copper content.
Before you hand it over
Do not burn cable to strip it: it is illegal and oxidises the surface of the copper, lowering its grade. If possible, bag the copper by grade; if you cannot, that is fine — we do the sorting. For corporate deliveries we purchase on invoice and issue a weighbridge ticket for tonnage jobs.
